We Did Carpe the Dang Diem
Thanks, Sharon, for that expression - it really sums up today. Joanne took three (3) walks down the oncology corridor. Yes, the mighty wind did roar and she had some explosions of all those clear liquids! So, we're hoping tomorrow she can start on full liquids. Going home is not a possibility until at least Wed or Thurs. This is an exercise in patience. Joanne has much of this - me, not so much. So, many thanks for all that visualization and those wonderful farting comments. I think we all needed the comic relief. . . OK, you powerful visualizers: see Joanne with no more tubes or catheters, taking oral pain meds and us driving carefully North on I-5 to our home on the Bay. Home, ET, Home. ..

In the future, I see the three of us cruising on our bikes down Lummi Shore Road, the sun and wind on our faces, with the road ahead and all this behind us...but for now, we'll take those baby steps down the hallway.

I'm glad to hear that those all important functions are returning and it means a return home is closer. We have a new canine family member and I must admit the last couple of days, as I encouraged the puppy to "do her thing" it was a time to send Joanne blessings and encouragement as well - not very sophisticated, but I it seems the chorus of good wishes from everyone has helped.
Bruce and I are experts at horsetail - we'll call after you've had a few days at home and set up a time to wreck havoc on those pesky weeds.

Hey J & J - The plants are all singing in the rain, so don't worry about them. We know you'll be home soon in that beautiful healing space. Let us know if we can go out and stock the refrigerator or bring you food!

We are all happy to hear of your successes. Deb, Jen, and I would also be happy to help out with gardening or anything else you both need. Please just let us know. Deb and I will be in out of town for a few days (Thursday to Saturday night) but we would love to help out when we return. We have lots of experience with all kinds of weeds and lots of gardening equipment. WE could be your own private gardening party :) We love you and miss you and look forward to more quiet sweet evenings together in your home - especially with the cats jumping all over our projects - so enthusiastic to help out. Oh and Joanne - I have some lovely books and movies I would be happy to loan you if you need some entertainment.

Debra Chang happened by Yak Magik on Saturday - and when she saw the Usana magazines and Joanne's cards - she told me about what was happening with Joanne and very kindly got on my computer to forward the blog to my email. Since the moment she told me, Joanne, I have had constant loving thoughts of you and Janet. Thank you so much for insisting that I get "The Secret" it is certainly coming in handy at this time!! Know that I am mentally, spiritually, and consciously visualizing YOU laughing, dancing, gardening, hiking, biking, and enjoying all the beauty and love that surrounds you.

I am longing for your return. How much more powerful a message could the universe recieve? Longing must be the BIGGEST magnet.
I'm holding a flip-book style vision of Joanne transitioning from the medical support she's been recieiving to her own fabulous internal energies, fed by the powerful, constant currents of love and transformation we are carrying for her.
Cool thing about flip-books is I can play it again and again and again in less than a minute! Yup, there she is again, getting up, walking, beaming! Can you see it?
