Wow, I didn't realize we knew so many people with trucks. I promise I will never even consider renting in the future. We're surrounded by friends who truck! I put the debris - a mountain of it - in the front yard. Our neighbor came by in his truck and whisked it away. Actually, if we put ANYTHING in the front yard out here, it will ultimately be whisked away. . .
Thanks for all the input about naturopaths - it appears we also have an abundance of those in this community. We have an appointment next week with a Dr. James in Ferndale who specializes in oncology.
Joanne is going through a particularly rough period. We found out today that she has an infection in her GI tract, and that is probably contributing to her severe fatigue and lack of appetite. She starts on antibiotics tomorrow and is really looking forward to having more energy in the near future. Fortunately, the bone pain is gone.
I, on the other hand, got in a 50 mile bike ride today. That's a huge stress reducer for me and I feel quite energized. It's a good thing, because Reset for Excellence starts on Thursday.

We have a truck too, and would be happy to help out. And I'm happy to hear you have so many friends who also have trucks. Our truck is Dick's favorite gardening tool!
You two have been on my mind so much lately. Janet, I told you there were three new cancer patients and you asked if they were all bad diagnosis!! And I wasn't free to tell you about the third person then, but it was announced in church Sunday that Ken Hoover has a brain tumor. Last I heard he was in intensive care, but I'll bet you can get an update from Jennifer or Scott.
I ordered a luminaire for Joanne to be among the hundreds and thousands in the Relay For Life, July 13-14 downtown Bellingham. When Joanne is feeling well enough she can come and walk the survivor lap, just once around the library, with me, Etta, Barb Green, Dick Porter, and a lot of other people from FCCB.
Take care,
K
If I were a bug and thought of nesting anywhere, Joanne's GI Tract would be where I'd pick--- one of the sweetest women on the planet to snuggle up with and commune with, kept warm and tender . . . However, I'm not a bug and these pesky critters MUST depart its host this instant! As all of us agree, Joanne deserves a symbiotic relation, not a mooch that wants to take advantage of her nice side, right?
I'm sure the ND will have a great resource on extra potent and multiple strains of flora for you. Arise and Shine has a good brand, too. Terra Organica carries it.
My "Lil' Bug" is now out of school and presently has his cheeks full of partially chewed carrots, complaining that he shouldn't have to eat another baby orange. What do you think, Janet? Let 'im off the hook like Joanne, or press him to the limit?
Today we had a gift of a raccoon family crossing the road. I know some may be sensitive to their cats with regard to these folks, but it was fascinating to watch the protective way Mother took care of the 4 young. The babies chattered all the while, pressing up around her legs while she waited intently and patiently for the road to clear-- there was a lot of traffic at quitting time, and they'd already had one botched attempt. Eventually, she stepped forth slowly, checking the route. Under her feet the youngsters bounced every direction, careful not to pass up Mama. A few steps more from Mom, to ensure the road was quiet, and the little bunch followed her, practically running her over. Then, they trotted across the road just in time as another car was on its way. Behind it was a roaring Harley. Z and his friend went to follow them, but couldn't locate them after they got into the foliage on our side of the street. It was a delight to watch them, as we're still missing the land we've recently moved from, where the natural world and all its abundance sings songs of Life.
Joanne, I'd keep on keepin' on, as you know I can do in this format, as the sun sets, and the warmth of the day is still about me (aaah). I could go on and on, rattling of this and that, but little ZBug must get to bed. So, if any sentences aren't quite coherent above, why, it's due to his queries every few seconds and my own tired brain incapable of multi-tasking to a great degree.
We send you hugs and love, and wish you sweet slumber with awesome dreams to carry you away from the physical while those antibiotics begin to work their magic. And, Janet, same for you, relishing the peace that overcomes after a long ride.
God Bless you Both,
Tess and Zander (Z's now peeking at my words to you and READING). Bye.
Good on you Janet! There is something about being out on the road, powering yourself along, breathing in all the wonderful sights, smells and sounds as you whiz along the pavement that is almost spiritual...
Sorry to hear that the GI is giving you trouble (again) Joanne...damned little bugs! Hang in there!
We're visualizing you getting thru this round of chemo with minor nicks and scrapes so that you can enjoy some of these beautiful days in the garden or on the beach.
Peace, Love
Jerry
See what happens? You mention a need for a truck, and a fleet of offers comes metaphysically barreling down the street. Need an ND? A dozen names come raining down. Now Reset starts tomorrow. Are there any needs at all for meals, company, chores or errands to be managed? Yours is but to casually mention. Then the cloud of angels will descend. We love you!
Hi there, Joanne and Janet,
RESET countdown, and so thinking of you, and of the eventual party at the end of it--- a fond memory for me is garden fresh flowers brought from your very own sacred space. Thank you. And, knowing a celebratory dinner was anticipated aferwards as you both reunited adds joy to my memory.
This time may be different, but I'm positive that you'll create something delightful to celebrate together, yet again, another successful completion to Bellingham RESET.
I will be thinking of you both, continuing to sing Drucker's ditty, and reflecting, as I head out of town for another training in my energy work-- Portland is the destination.
As I type, Lil ZBug is happily smacking Rice Dream, three flavors worth, as he cools his palate from being out all day in the warm air. I guess he must've cooled down because this NW boy is actually asking me to come back out into the sun--- Now THAT is a treat for my CA blood :-).
Big hugs and boatloads of love,
Tess and Z---"Slurp!"
Hello Joanne and Janet,
Thought I'd say hi and let you know you are thought of, visualized for, prayed for, and cherished every day by me.
I am out of school now and it was a tough year. Remember the year you came to help our staff, Janet? Well, this was similar to that (nothing will ever by THAT bad though), but this time it was staff against staff. We had 3 people quit, 2 took a year leave-of-absence, 1 fired, and 5 involuntarily transferred. As the Union Rep in the building, I had a cold sore, nausea, and sleepless nights the last 2 weeks. Next year will be different. I am visualizing fun, supportive, and collegial. :)
My daughter, Megan spent her spring quarter in Prague. Go to www.youtube.com and type in "Megan Free Fallin" and you can see how she spent her 20th birthday. She is such a beautiful free spirit, so full of confidence, positive energy, fun, adventure, and grace. While she was in Prague she got notification that she will be the UW Husky Cheer Squad Captain this coming year. She is truly someone that attracts positive things in her life.
Joanne, keep nourishing yourself so Janet doesn't worry. Wrap yourself in that wonderful prayer shawl and all the love that is showering that lovely home of yours.
Much love, comfort, and joyous moments to you both.
KarenSue
Many happy returns of your 60th Jan, and my deepest metta for you and Joanne during these and all times. NK
