This is a difficult entry to make. Joanne came back to her room about 8 pm tonight. The news from the surgeon was NOT what we wanted to hear. The cancer was widespread and he could not remove it all. The next step is chemo that will shrink the remaining cancer so it can be removed later. We have a lot of work to do is this healing process.
I felt cradled all day by the support of my "team" who waited a very long time in a very hot waiting area. We were both supported by the love and thoughts of all of you. Joanne is not in pain due to the wonderful technology of epidurals. She is resting comfortably. Please hold us both in your prayers. Oh yes, we did score a private room, but unfortunately they ran out of cots for family! So, it will be a long night in a chair - and fortunately, I'm exhausted.

I'm with you in spirit, Janet. Sleep well. Thank you, God, for comforting J&J and for the healing that continues moment by moment. Thank you, Janet, for the updates and taking care of yourself too.
Janet - This is hard news. There are really no other words to say, except we love you and are with you and Joanne on this journey.
Marie & Mary Ellen
Joanne and Janet,
I still believe in miracles!
Prayers, Love and Light,
Betty
Dearest Joanne and Janet,
Under the full moon, may you be bathed in its powerful rays as you sleep peacefully, trusting that your and our intentions, our combined love and determination, shall not stand a chance against cancer.
This calls for more laughter (the updated Netflix order included), more prayers, more singing, more love and celebration of life, more universal light and energy, and ever more trust that God supplies our All.
I have great faith in you both, as you live what you teach . . .
With the warmest and tenderest hugs, and meditations, and love this beautiful NW night.
Tess H.
It's been a long day in so many ways; my heart is heavy upon hearing this news and at the same time so full of love and prayers for you both. Lots and lots of love.
Carol
Dear Joanne and Janet,
Marie called last night and gave us the news...know that we are very sorry to hear about this next challenge. But we are with you every step and love you both very much.

Hi JOanne, Rudy and I are with you thru all of this , Im learning to try and be positive for him and I will do that for you 100 times over, get strong, take pain meds!! and get on with it as you always do Luv Joanie
Good morning. Today is another day The Lord has made. Some days I can pretty well handle on my own, (with The Lord by my side, of course) but today I'm asking Him to cary us. There will be only one set of tracks in the sand today-His.
For my part I will bathe both of you in my white light, focus on raising my vibrational level and feature you in my prayers.
Much love and affection,
George Lindeman
Janet, Joanne -- you have so much love surrounding you in all this -- I can feel it coming through the internet into my hands as I stroke the keys.
Hard times ahead, but such joy to be bathed in such love. That's my prayer for you both -- that you can soak in the love and relish it for all you're worth. My love joins the multitude!
oh my.
We checked here last night, before we went to sleep, our last thoughts as we drifted off of Joanne and Janet and your day.
First thing this AM I check again - and see your posting. As Marie says, this is hard news. But we now have something concrete and visual to concentrate on, to imagine, and to see shrinking and disappearing out of Joanne's body. I'll start on that now!
much love,
Gillian and Wendy
Birds are singing outside and this stubborn old world keeps spinning despite desires to hit the "pause" button and just rest awhile. Perhaps that's just as well because the new day bring new hopes and new dreams. I trust you feel the angels bending down to kiss you on the lips this morning.
Jen
Dear Joanne and Janet
My love and thoughts are with you. Thank God for the circle of love and good will you have created, and that it will be of comfort and strength during this poignant time. I too, love the pictures of you both together and your team of angels!
Big warm hug,
Robyn
This is difficult news. You are loved and love itself is a miracle worker.
Well, so much for the Tibetan healing mantas I've been non-stop chanting... (I'm considering asking for my mney back!)
Let's by all means go now for the big guns: Drugs and laughter.
And, always of course ... LOVE.
I really do love being on this planet with you guys,
Peg
Good Morning friends,
I too believe in miracles and believe that the words we heard last night weren't a "no" to our prayerful requests, but simply a "not yet" from Spirit. What this journey is intended to be for Joanne, Janet and all of us I don't pretend to know. I do know that I am ready and hope that you all are too. Look for opportunities to serve and support.
All the love I presently have is yours,
Sharon Allen
You both have our love and visions of health.
With determination and passion Joanne's body is infused with the healing energies of our creation.
Blessed Be,
Jen, April and Deb
Am continuing to send white light. FYI, Mom is too, and you know how powerful she is!
Elisabeth
It's another day, and we'll all take another step. And another and another. And yet another, all the way back to blessed health.
Loving you both from altitude, where everything is beautiful....
Erin Recke
Joanne and Janet,
Picture me, if you will, standing in your room. I'm not alone. I brought a few folks with me. There are so many of us that the crowd goes down the corridor, down the stairs and out onto the grounds. The roof-tops, streets and parking lots are filled with people for blocks in every direction. Can you hear us? There's all manner of singing, and praying and jubilation going on. There is but a singular thought: HEALING. Traffic will have to find alternate routes. We're not moving.
Loving you,
Nancy Kennell
One day the only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small,
> uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every
> day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
>
> Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood
> to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.
>
> One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little
> hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had
> happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief,
> grief, and anger. He cried out, "God! How could you do this to me?"
>
> Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound d of a ship approaching
> the island! It had come to rescue him! "How did you know I was here?"
> asked the weary man of his rescuers.
> We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
>
> The Moral of this Story:
> It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't
> lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of
> our pain and suffering.
>
> Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the
> ground......It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

Dearest Jo,
I am struggling with what to say. We just love you, and I guess that is it.
If you need us we will be there. You are in our healing thoughts 24/7.
Love always,
Dan & Nanc
Joanne and Janet,
We are keeping you in our prayers. Our arms are wrapped around you both in a big warm embrace. Visualizing you both vibrantly glowing with good health.
Though we are saddened and a little bit scared, we are hopeful and feel blessed to be a part of supporting you on this healing journey. Rest easy.
Dear Joanne and Janet,
Darrell and I have been holding you in our hearts and prayers and continue to do so. In the midst of your journey, we focus on LOVE--and refocus and refocus and refocus. For as you know, it is LOVE that heals and makes whole. You are infused with love from your own beings and lifted up by the love of so many! We remain with you, dear ones. Love and blessings, Donna Gustin
No....*long sigh*...
OK, J&J, take a breath, relax, then bend to the task before you.
We are here, focusing all our energy to you, narrowing our vision of healing, strength and light to carry you. Our shoulders are big, we share your burden, you are in our thoughts always.
Peace, love and all my strength.
Jerry Horner
I read your latest entry....
and I take a deep breath.
I see in my minds eye
a light coming on in each of the hearts
belonging to those you both touch deeply
then night becomes aglow with the brilliance
of the love light shining for you both.
holding you in love and light,
Eileen
When my own words escape me...I turn to the poetic wisdom of others. Receive this prayerful poem by Nancy-Rose Meeker who is a Canadian poet.
The springtime of the
epoch
comes in the tender shoots of
green hope
pushing up through discouragement.
Bitter winds shake
our branches even as our
poignant grace of
blossoms
burst open into joy.
An epoch's spring and
promise
is not without storm and shaking,
but the sunny assurance of daffodils
can hold us steady
till the might of our broad river
is overhung with green
summer
ease. ~Nancy-Rose Meeker
Who was it who said..."I don't believe in miracles I depend on them." Here's to the power of intention...dependence and belief!
I am grounding my prayers in the hope of spring and summer healing. Oh God hear our prayers...and in your Love answer!
Gentle Love,
Bobbi
The words of a Shaker song come to mind:
"Love is little, love is low,
love will make my spirit grow.
Grow in peace, Grow in light,
Love will do the thing that's right."
Jennifer and I hold you in our hearts and prayers.
Both of you, Janet and Joanne, are precious to us. Peace, Light, Growth, and Healing, anchored in Love be your gifts this day.
Bob and Jennifer Johnson
Janet & Joanne, I continue to pray for you daily. You are very special people and are loved by multitudes. Tim Cornwell
From Science of Mind:
God within me is mighty to heal.
He healeth me of all my diseases and removes all fear from me.
My God within is now healing me of all sickness and pain and is bringing comfort to my soul.
God is my life; I cannot be sick.
I hear the voice of Truth telling me to arise and walk, for I am healed.
And so it is,
Amen
We claim and affirm your health and peace.

UPDATE FRIDAY NIGHT
Hi everybody = Kathleen Carie here. I just spent a lovely evening with our Joanne. She looks good, her spirits are great and she is looking through her flower catalog to order more flowers for her yard.
She knows she has a challenging time ahead and she is up for the challenge. I know all of your love, thoughts and prayers have made a huge difference for both Joanne and Janet. (Janet is off to a workshop in Bellingham this evening and will be back tomorrow afternoon).
I am heading back in the morning and will send out another report.
Love,
Kathleen
Joanne,
Love you and am sending you healing thoughts and prayers. I know that God is holding you in the palm of his hand.
